Every personal website needs a vanity page
I grew up with Mac OS 9 and have always loved its aesthetic (could you tell by the website?).
A PowerBook G3 (Lombard) with 10.3 and my trusty iMac G3 running OS9 were my main computers for as long as I could make them last. Unfortunately, as one might expect, by 2010 I had to give in to the inevitable and switch to a Windows 7 laptop/desktop setup (because Intel Macs were just overpriced Wintel machines).
Growing up with PowerMacs gave me an appreciation for unique and unusual hardware. Which in turn led to me getting both my bachelor's and master's in computer architecture. I'm a firm believer in the potential of RISC CPUs and I'm back to using Macs as my daily drivers now that they've switched to ARM (with good timing, I really did not want to use Win10). Intel may have killed the first RISC revolution with the Itanium disaster, but I believe we're seeing a fresh new start (though AMD won't make it easy!).
Anyways, I still believe there's no OS like the Classic MacOS. Learning computer architecture has only given me a greater appreciation for how incredibly "unique and unusual" it is. Afterall, it evolved from incredibly different origins compared to Windows, Linux or even the modern MacOS (NeXT).
I started this website with the goal of sharing my love for the OS (despite its many fundamental flaws) and aggregating a collection of development resources and documentation I came across; however, I kinda just started adding whatever I felt like.
If this site feels like one straight out of the early internet, it's because I do most the HTML by hand and I like putting .gifs everywhere. I won't apologize.
