~~Dreamcast Pages~~

A collection of the weird, interesting or funny sites I've come across while conducting internet archeology

Dreamcast

The Dreamcast was the first (home) console I bought for myself (first game system in general was a GBA SP), and as a result is one I hold quite a bit of fondess for. Perhaps someday I'll write an article on my bachelor's senior project where I created an Optical Drive Emulator for it. Anyways, I definitely wanted to get a couple footer .gifs related to it.

Dreamcast Land

Hope he's doing better

The Codes and Gameshark pages both take you to a selectable list of several Dreamcast games, but clicking on any of them somehow takes you out of The Internet Archive and onto the Yahoo homepage. I almost wonder if these were originally links to Yahoo searches.. . Something like "Resident Evil 2 Gameshark Codes"

The "news" mentioned just appears to just be a list of recent and upcoming game releases from December 2000 to May 2001, but there's some interesting additions.

Bleed?? Internet Game Pack??

Other gems include: Age of Empires 2, Half Life and System Shock 2

Finally, there's the reviews which are supposedly written by visitors to the site and not the sitemaster himself. There's a link to submit new reviews, if you're so inclined.

Unfortunately, none of the geocities archive sites appear to have preserved any of the reviews themselves... Damn.

Capcom Gals

This site claims the lofty goal of being "the best resource on Chunli, Sakura and Cammy on the Internet."

There is some unfortunate news though...

WELL THEN WHAT ARE YOU GOOD FOR?

As usual we have a news page, the only article is titled "Sega's Future is Brighter Than Ever" written on Nov. 9th, 1999.

There's also the expected review section, but unfortunately, nothing was ever posted... Thankfully the "Street Fighter Shrines" section is populated!

My wife

There's a Shrine page for each of the three girls featured in the top pic. Each shrine has a short bio, a pretty detailed move list, surprisingly full image galleries and unsurprisingly small sound galleries (the girl's theme in midi).

The GameFaqs section has links to each game's page on the site, I always forget how long it's been around. Today I learned that apparently GameFaq's "terms of service" don't allow you to link directly to text documents. So the sitemaster here had to link to the game's subpage.

Finally, the "links" page has a bunch of links to places you can buy a Dreamcast along with some pages dedicated to the various girls (image galleries, fan fictions, you name it. Shoutout to this one: Dark Sakura's Mostly Evil Shrine

Shout out to The Phillipines

Planet Dreamcast

I don't have much to say about this site, but it's a very intersting Dreamcast news site, and unlike the previous examples it was actually updated more than once. The latest article I saw was from 2002.

I might add more to this section as I investigate this one more.
